The player with the lowest score loses the round and has a point subtracted from their total.
This video game is modeled after the French version of the card game. In the German version of 31 runs of consecuitve suited cards count more, whereas in the French version they do not. If you have a 3 of a kind you score 30.5 points. If you have a split hand across suits only the suit with the highest score will count UNLESS you have a three of a kind. Aces are worth 11, face cards are worth 10, and all other cards are worth their numerical value. Your score is based on the value of the cards you have in a single suit. The goal of this game is to try to score 31 points or as close to it as you possibly can. Players can swap all 3 of their cards or a single card with the fifth hand.Īs soon as one player knocks all other players get one lass subsequent move and then everyone has to show their cards. Players can choose to pass (or knock) when they think their hand will be better than at least one competing hand, or they can chose to swap cards with the fifth hand.
This game uses the cards 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace - which is the Dutch version of the game 31, also known as Eenendertigen.
A fifth hand is dealt to the center of the table. Each of the four players are each dealt three cards.
